Among all the craziness we’ve seen our small businesses staying resilient and still operating and doing what they can from home and remotely.
Check out this job opportunity from Chris Reis State Farm.
Many other businesses are adapting and finding new ways to reach customers. Please be sure to look into your favorite small businesses and see if they’re still offering their services/goods/food/etc. via online sales, Facebook sales or pick up/delivery, gift cards...whatever!
Everyone is doing their very best to comply with all health and safety recommendations and keeping people as safe as they can while still keeping their businesses going - try to support them in that effort if you are able!We continue to hope that you and your family are staying safe as we all try to deal with the ramifications of COVID-19. With all of that in mind we have an opportunity for someone who may be interested in a career change with now being laid off from their current job or is an essential worker still working and is ready for a change.
We are currently hiring a full time account representative in our office that will start out working from home, and eventually transition into a position within our office, in Sunbury, with plenty of growth potential. We are ready to hire for this position and will be holding "social distanced" interviews this week to hopefully have someone start ASAP. This position will be focused on helping people realize the risks of everyday life while helping them realize their dreams with making sure they have proper protection on their policies. No prior sales or insurance experience is required to apply for this position, just a willingness to learn, be apart of a team, and a passion for helping people.
If you are interested in the posistion or would like to learn more about the job duties please call our office at 570-495-4556 and ask for Chris, or send a copy of your resume to email@example.com. We will be accepting resumes until this Friday 4/10. We can't wait to talk to you about this opportunity! ... See MoreSee Less
We are trying to keep things going as normal as we can during this time and our staff and volunteers are hard at work making sure our programs and events are being taken care of the best they can under the circumstances.
Our Hometown Hero banner program has some updates I wanted to share with everyone.
First, our NEW banner applications were due yesterday - we have decided to extend this to April 24th.
Second, the deadline for rehangs is now May 15th. Forms went out at the beginning of the year. If you have a banner and would like it rehung please fill out the form found on our website.
We are so thankful that this program can continue to grow while working from home. Thank you to everyone who has renewed and ordered new banners!
The hanging of the banners always spruces up the downtown and symbolizes summer in Sunbury.

Rehang letters were sent out around the holidays for the 2020 Northumberland County Hometown Hero program.
If you have a banner from a previous year at home that you haven't hung for a year or two and would like to hang along Market Street, Sunbury this year please reach out to us and we will get you the form you need.
Or, if you would like to purchase a NEW banner to honor your Hero please click the link below for all of the program info.
This is a wonderful program that we've gotten so many compliments on. People are constantly telling us they love to see banners throughout Cameron Park and Downtown Sunbury all spring and summer long.
It is a wonderful way for you to honor your Hero 🇺🇸
