When the lights go out in Irish pubs, the villages come alive with ghosts. Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Billy Kelly draws upon his Irish heritage to bring the spirit—and the spirits—of Ireland to life!
Inspired by his Irish family and his exploration of their homeland, True Ghost Stories is about more than legends of ghostly encounters on lonely roads. Kelly’s songs are also deeply personal, about dreams, fears, adventures, love and the loss of loved ones—whether they’re people who nurtured us and gave us comfort or places that did the same.

Written over the course of decades, with some music recreated from fragments of memory and scraps of faded paper, the songs of True Ghost Stories album range from melancholy ballads in the best mournful Irish tradition, balanced with rollicking tunes that have audiences stomping their feet, clapping their hands and singing enthusiastically along. And as a seasoned standup comic and humorist, Kelly also keeps the crowd laughing throughout the show, nimbly improvising with the audience.
True Ghost Stories is more than a concert—it’s a participatory experience that leaves audience members entranced, just like a great tale should. Billy will be performing the show with drummer Jake Kline.
